In November 2021, Cute Abiola, a former Naval officer, faced detention and disciplinary action for violating the armed forces’ social media policy by posting a video of himself in military attire online.
In a recent Instagram post, Cute Abiola reflected on his time spent in a Navy cell, accompanied by photos from that period. He expressed appreciation for the humbling experience he underwent during his military custody.
Acknowledging the effect it had on him, he captioned the images with gratitude towards the Armed Forces, stating, “30 days Inside cell 2021! The military really humbled me. Thank you Armed Forces. My morale was high. I had a little fun inside the cell at some point.”
Cute Abiola’s decision to exit the Nigerian Navy for entertainment in November 2022 came after he was appointed as Special Assistant on Creative Industries by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State.
