Cyril Oshiomhole: Key Facts About Adams Oshiomhole’s SonGovernor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has appointed Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole as the state’s Health Commissioner-designate. The announcement was made on Tuesday, just hours after Okpebholo took the oath of office as the 6th Governor of Edo State.

Dr. Oshiomhole’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.

Who is Cyril Oshiomhole?

Cyril Adams Oshiomhole’s educational journey began at St. Anne’s Primary School and continued at Command Secondary School. He later pursued a degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria.

Oshiomhole furthered his studies at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, where he earned a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), with a specialization in Environmental Health, Toxicology, and Disaster Management.

He continued his academic advancement with postgraduate training in Clinical Research at Harvard University in Boston and further studied Gastroenterology at Queen Mary University in London.

Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole is the son of Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, the former governor of Edo State and current Senator representing Edo North.
