In January 2024, Tiwa Savage filed a police report against Davido, claiming he had threatened her after she shared a photo with the mother of his first daughter. However, during an interview on The Breakfast Show on Tuesday, Davido clarified that there was no long-standing conflict between them. He explained, “That’s my sister, man. She’s cool. I remember when all of us, Tiwa and I, used to stay in the same house. She’s like a big sister to me, you know? She always saw me as a younger one.” Delving into the nature of their disagreement, the Grammy-nominated artist shared, “The situation with Tiwa was kind of personal. She’s very close friends with the mother of my first daughter, and at that time, we were dealing with some custody issues in court. I just felt like, you know, helping me see my daughter and things like that. We had a little argument, but it was nothing major. Just like brothers and sisters having a small dispute.”
