Dead On Arrival? Then Why So Scared?” — Dele Momodu Blasts APC Over ADC Coalition
Veteran journalist and politician Dele Momodu has strongly criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over its alleged efforts to sabotage the unveiling of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Momodu had previously revealed that the official presentation of the ADC as a unifying platform for Nigeria’s opposition faced an unexpected hurdle.
The event, originally scheduled to take place at the Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments in Asokoro, Abuja, was abruptly disrupted after the hotel suddenly cancelled the fully paid reservation just hours before the programme on Wednesday.
The event was intended to formally introduce the ADC as a viable political force to challenge the APC in the 2027 general elections.
However, on Wednesday morning, organisers were notified that the hotel could no longer host the gathering, citing a vague “internal compliance matter.”
Media personality Rita Ebiuwa took to social media to accuse the APC of intimidation tactics, stating: “APC is jittery. Threatening hotels not to allow their facilities to be used for today’s ADC adoption is ridiculous.”
In response, Momodu questioned the APC’s confidence and motives, writing: “Why are they so concerned about a coalition they claimed was ‘dead on arrival’? Even some of their supporters have privately admitted they’re embarrassed by the desperate antics of certain overzealous members.”
