Reacting to these claims, Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, dismissed Dokubo’s remarks as “ridiculous,” emphasizing that the ex-militant was simply “talking big” without any real capacity to pose a threat to the military or its aircraft. Buba further clarified that the use of helicopters and aircraft by security agencies is a standard part of national security operations, and that the military remains committed to professional conduct in line with democratic principles. He added that any such statements should be addressed by the appropriate authorities.
