It’s worth noting that Badaru, previously criticized for his tenure as the governor of Plateau, has now been given a significant portfolio in the defense ministry. Similarly, Matawalle, who faced allegations of a 70 billion naira fraud, is now poised to step into a ministerial role. The accuser, Bawa, who made these fraud allegations against Matawalle, is currently held in DSS detention.

Bagudu’s appointment raises its own set of eyebrows. Historically tainted with allegations of aiding former head of state, Sani Abacha, in hiding funds abroad, his new role as the Minister of Budget & Economic Planning is already generating waves of criticisms.

Expressing his frustration, Adeyanju took to his social media platforms saying, “These two guys as ministers of defence is the funniest stuff I have ever seen since 1999.” In another sharp remark, he added, “Atiku Bagudu is my country’s Minister of Budget & Economic Planning.
