Both men are currently held at the Kwale Custodial Centre. Prosecutor Mrs. Catherine O. Oboreruomo presented testimony from two witnesses during the trial, while the defendants represented themselves.

Following the sentencing, Mrs. Oboreruomo urged young people to avoid criminal activities, emphasizing that crime leads to condemnation and ruin. Anamali and Adoh were arrested on January 27, 2021, in Ndemili, Ndokwa-West Local Government Area, during a routine police stop-and-search, where the firearm was confiscated.
