A couple in Delta state has become a viral sensation after reportedly spending only N50,000 for their church wedding held over the weekend.
Pictures of the couple, dressed in simple casual attire, depict them receiving marital blessings from their clergyman in church.
The groom, Udu Lucky Obukhowo, explained that they opted for simplicity after their traditional wedding, citing the current economic hardship as the reason.
“We had our traditional wedding yesterday and decided to do something little but impactful. Economy hard, you wan come do pass your self join? Do your power and we all go dey alright,” Obukhowo stated.
He mentioned that they utilized their existing wardrobe and only purchased their wedding rings for the church ceremony.
