The exercise aims to clear traders from the rail tracks to ensure a proper right of way for trains. Additional stations where demolitions occurred include Iju Railway Station, Ebute-Metta Railway Station, Yaba Railway Station, Agege Railway Station, and Mushin Railway Station.
Enforcement officials used sledgehammers and cutting equipment to dismantle extended walls, dismantle shanties, and clear makeshift shops and tables. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had previously issued a two-day ultimatum for traders to vacate train tracks.
