One notable achievement was the President’s recent discussions with President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which led to the lifting of the visa ban imposed on Nigeria and 19 other African nations in October 2022 by the UAE government.

This diplomatic engagement also hints at the resumption of flights by major airlines Etihad and Emirates, which had ceased operations in Nigeria in response to the visa ban.

Addressing Nigerian professionals in Sydney, Australia, during his annual vacation, Deputy Speaker Kalu commended President Tinubu for his proactive approach to restoring diplomatic ties between Nigeria and the UAE.

He expressed great satisfaction that the meeting resulted in the immediate lifting of the visa ban, acknowledging the adverse effects the ban and flight stoppages had on the Nigerian economy.

Kalu acknowledged the historical diplomatic and trade relationships between Nigeria and the UAE and expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for personally engaging with President Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi to address the issues.

He also praised the President’s efforts in enticing old multinational corporations like Volkswagen Motors back to Nigeria, emphasizing the administration’s dedication to improving the country’s conditions for the benefit of all citizens.
