Diddy’s Prison Release Date Changed Again, Now Set For February 2028

Sean “Diddy” Combs is expected to leave prison earlier than previously projected after his release date was revised again, according to information attributed to the United States Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The 56-year-old music mogul is now listed with a projected release date of February 5, 2028, at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

The latest adjustment brings his projected release forward by more than two weeks from the previously listed date of February 20, 2028.

According to available information, Combs’ projected release date has undergone several changes since he began serving his federal sentence in October 2025. His release was initially projected for June 2028 before subsequent adjustments moved the date to April, February and January, before it was later revised to February 20, 2028.

The reason for the repeated changes has not been publicly disclosed. The Bureau of Prisons has previously indicated that it generally does not comment on individual inmates’ confinement conditions, release plans or specific reasons for changes to projected release dates.

Combs was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison after a jury convicted him in 2025 on two counts involving the transportation of individuals across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.

The latest development comes amid reports of an alleged altercation involving Combs and another inmate at the Fort Dix facility. Reports claimed the two men pushed each other before punches were exchanged, prompting prison guards to intervene. It was also reported that Combs was subsequently placed in solitary confinement, although prison officials did not publicly confirm the incident.

Combs’ representatives have previously rejected allegations that he violated prison rules, maintaining that he has remained focused on sobriety, self-discipline and personal development while serving his sentence.

For now, February 5, 2028, remains the projected release date listed for Combs, although the date could still be adjusted as his sentence calculations and prison status are reviewed.

The Bureau of Prisons explains that a projec release date reflects calculations made for an inmate and can be subject to chantedges.
