Here’s the latest update on the load allocations for the DisCos:
•Abuja DisCo: 80 MW
•Benin DisCo: 70 MW
•Eko DisCo: 70 MW
•Enugu DisCo: 0 MW
•Ibadan DisCo: 100 MW
•Ikeja DisCo: 130 MW
•Jos DisCo: 0 MW
•Kaduna DisCo: 0 MW
•Kano DisCo: 0 MW
•PHarcourt DisCo: 0 MW
•Yola DisCo: 0 MW
Total: 450 MW
The grid experienced its third collapse early Saturday morning, resulting in widespread blackouts across several states. Data from the Nigerian System Operator’s portal indicated an unprecedented zero MW recorded at 8:16 a.m. today. The national grid confirmed via its verified social media account that seven out of eleven electricity distribution companies received no load allocation.
However, Ndidi Mbah, spokesperson for the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), later announced that power had been restored.
