Disney Star Carla Jeffery D!es, Fans Mourn Sudden Loss

American actress Carla Jeffery, widely recognised for her role as Bree in Disney Channel’s Zombies film series, has died at the age of 33.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Jeffery’s death was confirmed by her agent, Carla Alexander, who remembered the actress as a highly talented and beautiful individual whose smile could light up a room. The cause of death has not been made public.

Jeffery rose to prominence after portraying cheerleader Bree in the 2018 Disney Channel movie Zombies. She reprised the role in the film’s sequels, Zombies 2 in 2020 and Zombies 3 in 2022.

Before gaining recognition through the Disney franchise, Jeffery had appeared in the American comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm, where she played a recurring role involving the Black family that moved in with Larry David following Hurricane Katrina.

Her management company, Alexanders Talent Management, also confirmed the news in an emotional tribute. The agency revealed that Jeffery had been part of its management family for more than two decades, describing it as a privilege to witness her development from a talented young girl into a successful actress.

The tribute highlighted her infectious smile, laughter, talent and the positive energy she brought to those around her. The company also expressed condolences to her family and loved ones and appealed for privacy as they come to terms with the loss.

Jeffery’s twin brother, Carlon Jeffery, who is also an actor, paid tribute to his sister by sharing a video of her at the beach alongside an undated message.

In his emotional tribute, Carlon expressed his love and admiration for his late sister, praising her strength, grace and infectious smile. He also reflected on the close bond they shared and vowed that their connection would continue beyond this life.

News of Jeffery’s death also prompted emotional reactions from her former Zombies co-stars.

Chandler Kinney, who portrayed Willa in the movie franchise, described the news as difficult to believe and remembered Jeffery as one of the sweetest and most vibrant people she had known.

Kinney praised her former co-star’s positive personality and said her bubbly nature contributed greatly to the energy and life she brought to the character of Bree.

Milo Manheim, who played Zed in the Zombies films, also shared several photographs featuring Jeffery while mourning her death. He remembered her as a kind, loving and exceptionally sweet person.

Jeffery’s passing has sparked an outpouring of grief from colleagues, friends, fans and members of the entertainment community, who continue to remember her for her talent, warmth and memorable performances.
