The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has issued an apology regarding a misunderstanding concerning the arrest of a DJ in Lagos.
Earlier today, Hundeyin had informed the media that DJ Switch had been arrested for allegedly assaulting female officers, obstructing arrest, and impeding the police’s duties.
However, in a recent statement posted on his official handle, Hundeyin acknowledged the mix-up and clarified the identity of the arrested DJ. He stated:
“There has been a mix-up from our end. The individual arrested is DJ Commissioner Wysei, not DJ Switch. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to media outlets such as Lindaikeji, BBC, and TVC to whom I provided confirmation earlier this morning. We also extend our apologies to DJ Switch.”
