Nigeria’s Oil Production Reaches 1.7 Million Barrels per Day

Nigeria’s oil production, including condensates, surged to 1.69 million barrels per day (mbpd) in November 2024, marking a 9.9% increase compared to October’s output of 1.538 mbpd. The latest data from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) reveals an 11.42% boost in crude oil production, which climbed to 1.48 mbpd from 1.33 mbpd in October.

However, condensate production showed a slight decrease, falling to 204,828 barrels per day from 204,806 barrels per day in the previous month. Despite the increase, Nigeria’s oil output still lags behind its 2024 budget target of 1.78 mbpd, contradicting earlier claims from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) that production had reached 1.8 mbpd.
