Chief Priest had indicated interest in contesting for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

However, the APC primary election held on May 16 ended with the incumbent lawmaker, Canice Moore Nwachukwu Omeogo, retaining the party’s ticket after defeating other aspirants.

Following the emergence of the results online, Hellen Ati went live on Instagram, where she openly celebrated the outcome.

In the video, she was seen dancing while linking Chief Priest’s political setback to their ongoing personal issues.

She claimed the businessman would continue to face challenges unless he fulfilled what she described as his responsibilities, alleging that he had neglected her child for several years.

Hellen also questioned his influence and financial status, arguing that neither translated into political victory.

“He missed the House of Reps seat, guys. What did I tell you? What God cannot do does not exist,” she said during the livestream.

“Pascal, I told you that you can never win any election after abandoning your child for over three years without taking responsibility. You say you are rich and powerful, so where is that power now? Why didn’t you win the election? It won’t work for you until you do the right thing,” she added.
