Wizkid’s Personality Is My Problem” – Carter Efe Sparks Reactions

Speaking during an interview with BBC, Carter Efe said he genuinely admires the singer and remains a fan of his music, although he feels the affection has not been reciprocated.

According to him, he deeply appreciates Wizkid’s talent, sound, and artistic style, but has reservations about his personality.

He said he had openly shown love and support to the singer but did not receive the same energy in return.

“My relationship with him? I love Wizkid, honestly. I love his craft and everything about his music. But I have issues with his personality. I showed him love, but he didn’t show me love back. Still, I love his music and style,” he said.

His remarks come amid renewed discussions about his 2022 viral hit Machala, which was inspired by Wizkid.

Carter Efe had previously stated that the song was created out of sincere admiration for the Afrobeats star and was not originally intended as a money-making or fame-driven project.

Despite the success and popularity of the tribute track, Wizkid has never publicly acknowledged Carter Efe or the song in any official manner.
