He criticized the process as unconstitutional and warned that such actions could damage the party’s reputation at the ward, state, and national levels.

Bawa stated:

“The Ward Chairman, Ibrahim Iliyasu, and the Secretary, Ibrahim Kwande, alongside a few others, unilaterally and unlawfully suspended Dr. Aliyu Bello without due process, in clear violation of the APC Constitution (2022 as Amended).”

The dissident executives issued a series of resolutions:

  1. The Gayam Ward Executive Committee disassociates itself from the purported suspension of Dr. Aliyu Bello, declaring it illegal, null, and void.

  2. The actions of Iliyasu and Kwande constitute gross violations of Article 21 of the APC Constitution and are strongly condemned.

  3. Both officials have been suspended from office and referred to the appropriate disciplinary committee for investigation and possible sanctions.

  4. The committee reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty and support for Dr. Aliyu Bello as the legitimate APC State Chairman.

  5. The resolution will be formally communicated to the APC leadership at the local government, state, and national levels.
