A member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Musa Gude, has revealed that he appointed 106 aides to support his legislative duties and strengthen service delivery to his constituents.

Gude, who represents Uke/Karshi constituency under the Social Democratic Party (SDP), made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lafia, the state capital, on Tuesday.

According to him, the move was not only aimed at improving governance but also at uplifting the welfare of the aides and their families.

“I currently have 106 aides on my payroll, including special and personal assistants. Their salaries vary—some earn ₦100,000, others ₦80,000, ₦50,000, ₦30,000, ₦20,000, and ₦10,000,” Gude explained.

He added that the initiative reflects his commitment to inclusive leadership and socioeconomic empowerment, stressing that the aides were carefully selected from different wards to ensure fair representation and participation in governance.

“This is my way of giving back to society and carrying more people along in the affairs of our constituency,” he said.

The lawmaker further listed some of his constituency projects, such as providing boreholes, paying SSCE fees for several students, and empowering residents to become self-reliant through interventions in health, education, agriculture, and infrastructure.

While assuring his people of quality representation at the state assembly, Gude urged constituents to continue to live peacefully despite their differences.
