Drama Unfolds As Sowore Rejects Alliance: ‘Too Many Have Done Evil

Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has once again distanced himself from the emerging opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Wednesday, Sowore criticised several members of the coalition, accusing them of having harmed Nigeria and committed grievous wrongs while in power.

Labeling them as politicians lacking conscience, integrity, and credibility, Sowore said he couldn’t even share a table with some of them without feeling provoked.

“There are too many individuals within that coalition that I can’t sit with—personally, it would test my ability to remain composed,” he stated.

He added, “I cannot overlook the roles many of them played in betraying Nigerians. These are people with no sense of morality, no integrity, and no notable background. No matter what terms or conditions are given, they cannot cleanse themselves of the wrongs they’ve committed.”

Sowore further asserted that many of these politicians are inherently corrupt and self-serving, and he sees no possibility of them changing their ways.
