FG Takes Bold Steps In Confronting PDP Governors And Opposition Figures Amid Hardship Crisis

The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has been on strike since March 24 due to the refusal of the six FCT Area Council Chairmen to pay the agreed wage.

Earlier, VDM had taken to his Facebook page to call on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the matter. He stated:

“For over 9 weeks, public primary school pupils in the FCT have been out of school.
According to official records, the teachers are supposed to earn ₦80,000 or more depending on grade level, but in reality, they are still receiving ₦30,000 — and even that has been unpaid for months.
@officialasiwajubat this isn’t the future you promised Nigerians. Without basic education, our children’s future is in jeopardy. @officialefcc, we demand a thorough investigation into the salary board to fix this crisis and get these kids back in school.”

During Monday’s protest, VDM gathered several schoolchildren dressed in uniform outside Wike’s gate and held an improvised classroom session, teaching them the alphabet using satirical examples:

“S for Suegbe, T for Tinubu, W for Wike,” he said, as the children echoed back.

He declared that since the government had failed them, Wike’s gate would now serve as their new classroom.

Just a week earlier, VDM also appeared in Makurdi, Benue State, to support youth protesters demanding action over mass killings in the state. The protest, which took place on a Sunday morning, blocked the Abuja-Makurdi highway as demonstrators — dressed in black and carrying placards and palm fronds — decried government inaction.

The protest followed the massacre of over 200 people in Yelewata, Guma LGA, by suspected armed herdsmen.

When security operatives tried to break up the peaceful protest with tear gas, VeryDarkMan condemned the action, calling it “insensitive and unjust.”
