Drama Unfolds: Isaac Fayose Warns Adeyanju, ‘Leave Peter Obi Out Of Your Cheap Shots

Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has taken a swipe at activist Deji Adeyanju over his relentless criticism of Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi. He urged Adeyanju to “come out clean” about his alleged ties to President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adeyanju has consistently branded Obi a “fraud,” claiming he possesses evidence to back his accusations. He further labeled the former Anambra governor a “manipulator and religious bigot,” sparking outrage among Obi’s supporters, many of whom allege that the APC is behind his outbursts.

Obi has since dragged Adeyanju to court, demanding proof of the allegations.

Reacting in a video message laced with Pidgin English, Isaac Fayose accused Adeyanju of hiding his true political allegiance while using Obi’s name to stay relevant. He likened Adeyanju’s tactics to that of former presidential aide Reno Omokri, who, according to him, rose to prominence with the Tinubu administration by consistently attacking Obi.

Fayose said:

“My brother Deji Adeyanju wan enter APC. You dey stylishly support Tinubu government but you no wan come out openly talk say, ‘I’m with APC, I’m supporting Tinubu.’

“You dey use Obi name just like Reno Omokri. Reno started by attacking Obi, later he just crossed over. Deji dey use the same style.

“Mr Adeyanju, if you wan go APC, go freely. Stop using Obi to score cheap points. Leave that man alone, he hasn’t done anything to you.

“You dey fear say Sowore go vex because he’s your brother, but abeg, if you wan cross, just cross. We already know who you dey support. Stop the legbegbe.”
