A report has alleged that Vice President Kashim Shettima deliberately avoided shaking hands with All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, during a reception held on Saturday in Akwa Ibom State to honour Governor Umo Eno.

In a video obtained by The Whistler, Shettima is seen warmly greeting Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Eno. However, when he reached Ganduje — who stood third in the lineup — the Vice President appeared to skip him entirely, stretching his hand past the APC chairman to acknowledge other dignitaries, leaving the audience visibly surprised.

The incident is believed to be linked to ongoing political tensions and speculations surrounding Shettima’s future as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate in the 2027 elections.
