Ogun State police spokesperson Omolola Odutola reported that the incident involved a truck carrying granite with the license plate FKJ760XM and a Toyota car with the registration JJJ926YJ. Both vehicles were traveling from Ibadan to Lagos when the Toyota driver lost control and collided with the truck.

Odutola explained that the Toyota driver was trapped in the vehicle and was taken to Idera Hospital in Sagamu, where medical staff pronounced him dead. “After being rescued, he was brought to the hospital, but the doctor confirmed his death. Two other passengers in the Toyota sustained varying degrees of injury,” Odutola said.

Naija News has learned that the deceased driver’s body has been moved to the hospital’s mortuary.
