Since the raffle series launched in July 2024, Ecobank has distributed N16 million in cash rewards. At the winners’ announcement in Lagos, Mr. Odjegba Otega, Regional Head of Ecobank’s Apapa-Isolo Region, highlighted that each of the bank’s four divisions produced 20 winners in the monthly draw.

The event was observed by representatives from the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission and the National Lottery Regulatory Commission. Otega explained that two winners were selected from each division for the quarterly draw, which includes regions like the FCT and North, South-South and South-East, Southwest and Midwest, and Lagos.

In total, 291,253 customers qualified for the monthly draw, with participation distributed across regions: 79,923 from the FCT and North, 84,848 from the South-South and South-East, 64,904 from the Southwest and Midwest, and 61,578 from Lagos. For the quarterly draw, 140,951 customers were eligible.

Otega emphasized that these draws are part of the bank’s initiative to reward loyal customers. “We are here to celebrate and appreciate our valued customers for choosing to bank with us,” he stated.

Victor Yalokwu, Head of Consumer Product and Segment at Ecobank Nigeria, noted that the raffle was launched to reward both new and existing customers. To qualify, customers must maintain a minimum balance of N10,000 in their accounts for at least 30 days.

Ecobank plans to reward a total of 512 customers with N42 million in prizes, divided into monthly, quarterly, and grand finale categories. So far, 240 customers have been rewarded in the monthly draws, and eight winners in the quarterly draw. The monthly draws will continue in November and December, leading up to the grand finale where eight lucky customers will win N2 million each.
