The discussions during the meeting also focused on finalizing arrangements for the distribution of palliatives aimed at mitigating the impact of the removal of fuel subsidies. Dele Alake, the Presidential Adviser on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, highlighted this aspect. The intention behind the palliative distribution is to provide necessary support to alleviate the burden faced by the public due to the fuel subsidy removal.

Furthermore, the presidency had previously proposed the distribution of grains and fertilizers to farmers as part of a broader strategy to enhance food security across the country. These measures aim to bolster agricultural productivity and ensure a steady supply of food resources.

President Tinubu’s commitment to engaging various stakeholders and formulating effective strategies reflects his dedication to address economic challenges and promote sustainable development in the nation.
