Kidnappers have tragically ended the life of Mr. John Otobo, the manager of Union Bank’s Igueben branch in Edo State. This devastating incident occurred after the perpetrators purportedly received a ransom of N8 million.
Details surrounding the event remain unclear as of the time of this report. However, it has been disclosed that Otobo’s lifeless body was discovered in the wilderness subsequent to the payment of the ransom.
Reportedly, Otobo was abducted several days earlier while commuting home from work, between Ugbegun and Uromi.
Community member Odion Humphrey conveyed the sorrowful news via a Facebook post on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. In his message, Humphrey bid farewell to Otobo and expressed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Udo community. He also voiced a fervent wish for perpetual unrest upon the perpetrators. Humphrey concluded with a prayer for eternal peace for Otobo’s soul and the souls of all departed faithful.
