Edo Governor Celebrates Eid with Call for Unity, Religious Tolerance

In a goodwill message issued on Sunday, the Governor congratulated the Muslim faithful for successfully completing the month-long spiritual exercise, commending their steadfastness, piety, and acts of charity throughout the period.

Governor Okpebholo acknowledged the positive influence of Ramadan on the moral and spiritual well-being of society and encouraged Muslims to continue to embody the virtues cultivated during the fasting season.

“I heartily congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr,” the Governor stated. “Your dedication and devotion during Ramadan have been truly inspiring. As you celebrate, may the spirit of peace, unity, and love continue to guide our state and nation.”

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering religious harmony and inclusiveness across Edo State, emphasizing the importance of peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths.

Governor Okpebholo wished all Muslims a joyful and peaceful Eid celebration.
