Sadau criticized the authorities for what she described as a lack of due diligence in investigating the incident, expressing her belief that timely intervention could have prevented the killings, which appeared to take a considerable amount of time to execute.

The actress called for justice for the victims, emphasizing that the Northern community would not forget the tragic event.

Taking to her X handle, Sadau expressed her anguish, saying, “I am angry. I couldn’t bring myself to watch the full video of the massacre in Edo State… Allah ya isa!!! Allah ya isa!!! Allah ya isa!!! What have we become as humans, please? Wallahi, zuciyata zafi takeyi… Where were the authorities when that happened? I’m sure it took them time to carry out such a brutal act. Justice must be served!! #TheNorthRemembers.”

Meanwhile, operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have apprehended the suspended Commander of the Edo State Security Corps, CP Friday Ibadin, in connection with the horrific lynching of travelers in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area, on March 27.

This arrest follows the recent suspension of Ibadin by Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, who pledged to ensure that those responsible for the incident are brought to justice.

Sources allege that Ibadin, a native of Uromi, might have been aware of the activities of unregistered vigilante groups in the area but failed to intervene. His perceived inaction has raised concerns that he may have either neglected his duty or indirectly supported the rogue elements.

Governor Okpebholo, taking a firm stance, directed security agencies to leave no stone unturned in apprehending all individuals involved in the killings. He asserted, “No one is above the law.”

A senior official, speaking anonymously, confirmed to Vanguard that Ibadin was detained by the DSS as part of a comprehensive investigation into the incident. The state government remains resolute in its commitment to delivering justice and holding all perpetrators accountable.
