According to reports, the hotel had been a hideout for several suspected cybercriminals before EFCC operatives swooped in.

EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the arrests in an official statement, revealing that the operation was prompted by credible intelligence on the suspects’ alleged involvement in internet-related crimes.

“The suspects were apprehended based on actionable intelligence regarding their participation in cybercrime,” Oyewale said.

During the operation, EFCC operatives recovered one rifle, 86 mobile phones, and three motorcycles from the suspects.
