Olukoyede issued this appeal in a statement released on Friday by the EFCC Spokesperson, Dele Oyewole.
The EFCC chairman emphasized the significance of engaging with CSOs, stressing that building synergy with various interest groups is crucial for the commission’s success, and the narrative of its achievements is incomplete without the support and collaboration of CSOs.
He affirmed, “In light of the aforementioned, I guarantee that we will enhance this mutually beneficial relationship with increased vigor and momentum.
The EFCC will increasingly rely on your assistance to foster and maintain positive relations between us and the public we serve.”
The statement conveyed the remarks of the EFCC boss during a one-day engagement session between the EFCC and CSOs representing Kebbi, Zamfara, and Sokoto states. Speaking through the Sokoto Zonal Commander, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, Aliyu Yunusa, Olukoyede acknowledged that CSOs, being closer to the citizens, play a pivotal role in disseminating the anti-corruption message at the grassroots level.
He encouraged constructive criticism and emphasized the agency’s professionalism and dedication in combating corruption.
