The Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh FNSE, has extended heartfelt Eid al-Adha greetings to Nigerians across the country and in the diaspora, calling for renewed commitment to unity, sacrifice, and collective development.
In his Sallah message released on Wednesday, the Minister emphasized that the spiritual significance of Eid al-Adha goes beyond celebration—it is a time to reflect on values that build strong nations: obedience to God, sacrifice for the common good, and compassion for one another.
“As we commemorate this holy festival, I join millions of faithful in offering prayers of peace, progress, and prosperity for our dear nation,” Engr. Momoh stated.
“As a Ministry tasked with coordinating regional growth and equity, we have remained focused on bridging the development gap across Nigeria’s diverse regions. Through grassroots-driven initiatives, youth-focused empowerment programmes, and strategic infrastructure partnerships, we are advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.”
The Minister cited recent achievements including regional skills acquisition programmes, support for the establishment of zonal development commissions, and the drive to ensure no region is left behind in the national growth trajectory.
He called on Nigerians to draw inspiration from the selflessness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and to translate the values of Eid into everyday actions that uplift communities and strengthen national cohesion.
“Our administration is determined to make development visible, inclusive, and people-centered. Let this season of sacrifice rekindle our hope and inspire us all to do our part in nation-building,” he added.
Engr. Momoh concluded by praying for Allah’s blessings upon all Nigerians and reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to sustainable regional development under the leadership of President Tinubu.
