Eight Fibroids, 10cm Tumour And Then Pregnancy — Woman Shares Remarkable Story

A Nigerian woman has shared her emotional experience of conceiving after being diagnosed with eight fibroids, with the largest reportedly measuring 10 centimetres.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the woman, who got married in 2023, revealed in a video shared on Instagram that she discovered the fibroids during a routine medical checkup.

She explained that an abdominal scan revealed multiple fibroids, prompting her and her husband to seek a second medical opinion. After consulting a gynaecologist, the couple was advised to try for a baby immediately, with the doctor giving them six months to conceive before proceeding with surgery.

Recounting the diagnosis, the woman said she was informed that she had fibroids located on both sides of her endometrium. According to her, she was told that she would need to have them removed before she could become pregnant.

She said further medical examinations revealed a total of eight fibroids, with the largest measuring 10 centimetres and the smallest about three centimetres.

After several months without conceiving, the woman said she made a deposit towards the planned surgery but repeatedly postponed the procedure while continuing to hope and pray for a positive outcome.

She revealed that she was participating in the Hallelujah Challenge during the period and continued to pray concerning her situation.

According to her account, she fell ill on June 25 and contacted her doctor, who advised her to take a pregnancy test. She said she was shocked when the test produced a positive result almost immediately.

“It wasn’t even up to five seconds. I put that strip and it was positive. That is a day that I will never forget. I didn’t believe it, exactly six months. And at the exact time, God showed Himself,” she said.

The woman described the experience as one she would never forget, particularly because the positive pregnancy test came around the six-month period she had been given to conceive before undergoing the proposed surgery.
