Rev. Emmanuel Gbenga Erinle, a vicar in the Aramoko Archdeaconry of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Ekiti West Diocese, has been suspended due to allegations of sexual misconduct. The suspension was formally communicated to Rev. Erinle in a letter dated September 2, 2024, and signed by the Diocese’s Bishop, Rt. Revd. Cornelius Adagbada.

The letter expressed the Diocese’s strong disapproval of the alleged misconduct, highlighting that such actions have been driving worshippers away from the church. “The Diocese condemns the alleged sexual misconduct, noting that these actions have led to a decline in congregation as members seek other places of worship,” the letter stated.
