The governor expressed his determination to foster an egalitarian society free from unjust class distinctions.
During the inauguration of a two-day workshop for social work practitioners in Ekiti, organized by the Office of the First Lady and Ekiti State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Governor Oyebanji emphasized the significance of social work in assisting communities in overcoming challenges.
He assured that his administration would consistently provide social and legal tools to support these practitioners.
Governor Oyebanji called on social work practitioners to actively assist the government in eliminating injustice from Ekiti, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to upholding human rights.
He stated, “On the 7th of this month, I inaugurated the gender-based violence management committee to effectively implement the State Gender-Based Violence Management Prohibition Law 2019. Let me reiterate that this administration will not tolerate the violation of human rights in any form or context.”
Governor Oyebanji emphasized his administration’s vision for Ekiti to be a land of peace, opportunities, and progress, where the people and communities can enjoy the fruits of their labor in dignity, good health, and safety.
