After a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Governor Soludo lauded the court’s decision as a significant step for democracy. He emphasized the importance of upholding judicial authority and respecting the rule of law.

Soludo highlighted the imperative of ensuring equitable distribution of resources to grassroots levels and underscored the principles of accountability and transparency in public expenditure. He expressed his belief that public funds should benefit citizens across all tiers of government—federal, state, and local.

In response to the ruling, Soludo stated, “This is a positive development. The Supreme Court is the final arbiter, and as a democrat, I respect its decisions.
