Flight EK 783 touched down at Murtala Muhammad International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, on Tuesday at 3:32 pm, arriving at the old terminal aboard a Boeing 777-300ER. Despite having a capacity of 392 passengers, many seats were empty, though the exact number of passengers on board was not immediately confirmed. Eyewitnesses observed a noticeable number of unoccupied seats.
This low passenger turnout reflects the challenges airlines face as they resume operations after the pandemic and other operational suspensions. According to Daily Trust, departing passengers were processed at the new terminal, while arriving passengers were handled at the old terminal.
One passenger remarked, “The flight wasn’t full, but as always, the services were excellent. It’s understandable, given this is the first flight after a long break.
