A man identified as Salisu Iliyasu Takakume has been freed from the grip of bandits in Sokoto State after enduring 96 days in captivity. The abduction had occurred in Takakume village, situated in the Goronyo Local Government Area of the state.
According to security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, who revealed this development on Monday, March 25, 2024, Takakume is currently unable to walk as a result of the severe hardships he endured while held captive in the bandits’ enclave.
