Three Stolen Vehicles Lead To Arraignment Of 60-Year-Old Man....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
A 60-year-old man, John Ukoh, was brought before the Yaba Magistrate Court in Lagos State, accused of stealing three cars.
Charged with a single count of theft amounting to N9.8 million, Ukoh faced Magistrate O.Y. Adefope, who ordered his remand in prison.
According to Prosecutor Haruna Magaji, the alleged thefts occurred in November 2022 on Stella Sholanke Street, Ajao Estate, Lagos. It is claimed that Ukoh unlawfully appropriated a 2006 Toyota Sienna, a 2007 Toyota Corolla, and a 2006 Toyota Camry belonging to Mrs. Folake Brown.
The prosecutor cited Sections 280(1)(a) and 314(a) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, as the basis for the charges.
Ukoh pleaded not guilty to both charges. Magistrate Adefope granted him bail set at N1 million with two sureties. The case is adjourned until April 19, 2024.
