Similarly, multiple attacks were carried out in Otukpo, Benue State, where suspected Fulani herdsmen reportedly killed dozens and torched several homes.

Reacting to the carnage, Igbokwe took to his Facebook page, urging Ribadu to step in and bring the killings to an end, stressing that the ongoing tragedy must not be allowed to persist.

“The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, should clean up the mess and stop the shedding of innocent blood in Plateau and Benue States.
The shame cannot continue. Enough is enough!” he declared.

Meanwhile, Plateau State Governor, Caleb Muftwang, has vowed that justice will be served. Addressing citizens following the attacks, he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and preventing the normalization of violence in the state.

The spate of deadly assaults in Bassa LGA alone has claimed over 100 lives within two weeks, painting a grim picture of the deteriorating security situation in the region.
