Enough Is Enough!’ Timi Dakolo Reacts To DJ Timmy’s £4,106 Debt, ‘Sexcapade’ Allegations

The development comes after DJ Timmy, in a post on Instagram, claimed Dakolo had failed to repay the alleged debt despite promising to do so after requesting more time.

The promoter also threatened to expose what he described as the singer’s “sexcapades” if the money was not paid by Monday.

Responding through his legal representatives, Dakolo dismissed the allegations as false, defamatory and malicious, insisting he owes neither DJ Timmy nor Revolve Entertainment any money.

In a letter issued by his lawyer, the singer explained that the disputed amount relates to a proposed UK tour organised by DJ Timmy and Revolve Entertainment, which was eventually cancelled.

According to Dakolo, the written performance agreement clearly placed responsibility for production, travel, accommodation, visas and other logistics on the promoter, meaning he had no contractual obligation to pay deposits or reimburse those expenses.

His legal team further stated that the agreement provided that such costs were to be borne entirely by the promoter, while only approved advertising and promotional expenses could be recovered under specific conditions.

Dakolo maintained that the tour failed to hold because Revolve Entertainment allegedly did not meet the required production standards, particularly regarding sound, lighting and technical arrangements needed for his live performances.

He argued that since the event never took place due to the promoter’s inability to fulfil its contractual obligations, there was no legal basis for demanding reimbursement of expenses voluntarily incurred.

The singer also accused DJ Timmy and Revolve Entertainment of defamation, cyberbullying, harassment and blackmail over their social media posts, describing the publications as damaging to his reputation.

In the letter, Dakolo demanded an immediate halt to what he called defamatory publications, the removal of all posts containing the allegations and his private residential information, as well as a public retraction and apology within seven days.

“We write on behalf of Mr. Timi Dakolo in response to a series of false and defamatory statements published by Revolve Entertainment and its representative, Mr. Otis Ayodele Kubeyinje, popularly known as ‘Baddest DJ Timmy’, alleging that our client is indebted to Revolve Entertainment in the sum of £4,106 in respect of a proposed United Kingdom tour,” the letter stated.

The legal team maintained that the performance agreement expressly assigned responsibility for venues, production, visas, flights, accommodation and transportation to the promoter and that no deposit was payable by Dakolo.

It further stated that the proposed tour was cancelled because the promoter allegedly failed to satisfy key production requirements required under the agreement.

Dakolo warned that failure to comply with the demands within seven days would leave him with no option but to pursue legal action against DJ Timmy and Revolve Entertainment in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
