He stated that Enugu State has moved beyond such illegal sit-at-home orders, which are designed to disrupt the community’s social, economic, and psychological stability under the guise of secessionist movements. The Commissioner assured the public that the police and other security agencies are prepared to ensure peace and security in the state. He warned that any individuals or groups trying to disrupt public order will face severe consequences.
Uzuegbu also called on parents and guardians to caution their children against being drawn into activities that threaten the state’s peace, emphasizing the serious legal repercussions for such actions. He encouraged residents to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and to report any suspicious activities to local police.
