In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress criticized the trend where old direct messages and private chats are published online once someone passes away.

She warned jokingly but firmly that she does not support such behavior, adding that anyone who posts her private messages after her death would “face consequences,” even joking that she would “wake up” to confront them.

Etinosa also addressed movie producers she had previously reached out to for acting opportunities but who never responded to her messages.

She cautioned that it would be unfair for such individuals to later resurface those ignored conversations and use them to create narratives or claim she once sought roles from them after her death.

According to her, it is common for actors to contact producers out of admiration for their work and in hopes of getting cast in films, but ignoring such messages should not later be rewritten for publicity purposes.

Quoting her remarks, she said she finds it unacceptable for people to post private DMs after someone has died, stressing that she would “wake up, slap them, and return to the grave” if it happened to her.
