Tiwi Remi, wife of Nollywood actor Kunle Remi, has explained her decision to stay largely off social media, revealing that she only maintains an active presence on LinkedIn while avoiding platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and .....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

She made the disclosure during an appearance on the Bare by BKO YouTube podcast, where she discussed her personal lifestyle choices and how she navigates life as the spouse of a public figure.

Tiwi said many people are often surprised by her minimal online presence, especially given her husband’s popularity and visibility in the entertainment industry.

According to her, her decision to step back from social media began before her marriage, during a period when she was uncertain about her identity and direction in life. She explained that she did not feel comfortable remaining active online without a clear sense of purpose or contribution.

She added that she preferred to focus on self-discovery and personal growth rather than spending significant time on social platforms.

Tiwi also noted that, over time, she came to see her digital absence as aligning with her life journey, especially as her husband already has a strong public image and widespread attention.

After her marriage, she observed how updates about Kunle Remi circulate globally among fans, while she remains largely unseen online—an experience that further highlighted her offline lifestyle.

Quoting her, she said she felt she had no clear understanding of who she was or what she should contribute, and therefore did not see value in maintaining a “lukewarm” online presence simply for visibility.

She also revealed that she does not have social media apps installed on her personal phone and does not operate any alternate or “burner” accounts. When necessary, she only accesses platforms like Instagram or TikTok using her husband’s phone when available.

Tiwi described herself as someone who is not a habitual social media user, saying she only goes online with a specific purpose rather than engaging in casual scrolling.

Kunle Remi and Tiwi publicly confirmed their relationship in January 2024, followed by traditional and white wedding ceremonies in Ibadan and Lagos. The couple welcomed their first child in March 2025 after a challenging pregnancy journey.
