Weeks prior, Wike and Fubara had a meeting with President Tinubu at Aso Rock to address the longstanding conflict between them. However, the situation has not improved, and the feud has intensified, culminating in the demolition of the state assembly complex after the burning of the hallowed chamber.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Shehu Sani expressed his thoughts on the matter, stating, “Presidential intervention failed to bring peace to Rivers; everything is now left to God, Godfather, and Godson.”

Commenting on the demolition of the assembly complex, he added a historical perspective, saying, “Old School; Stealing the Mace and removing the Roof of State Assembly.
