**Presidency Praises Surge in Daily Crude Oil Output**
The Presidency has announced a significant increase in Nigeria’s daily crude oil production, reaching 1.7 million barrels. This milestone is attributed to President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to revitalizing the oil and gas sector.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital and New Media, O’tega Ogra, highlighted the achievement as a sign of the federal government’s dedication to the industry. He also noted the destruction of 56,000 illegal refineries and 4,480 illegal connections by security agencies in the Niger Delta.
Ogra’s comments follow a report from the “Operation Delta Safe” joint task force, indicating that international oil companies are operating at full production capacity with minimal disruptions. Major Kayode Owolabi from the OPDS Joint Media Campaign Centre confirmed that production levels have been consistent, despite a minor incident of vandalism.
