Residents of Jigawa, Katsina, and Kano States have been promised enhanced electricity provision and a 10% tariff reduction throughout the Ramadan month. This commitment was made by the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), affirming its dedication to improving power distribution in these regions.
KEDCO introduced a special promotion offering a 10% discount to ease the financial burden on its customers during their electricity consumption. This discount applies to both non-maximum demand (NMD) post-paid and prepaid customers for vending and subsequent billing throughout the month. Additionally, customers who settle their overdue bills will receive discounts of 15% and 10% for non-maximum demand (NMD) and maximum demand (MD) categories, respectively.
Abubakar Yusuf, the Managing Director/CEO of KEDCO, assured customers of improved power supply during Ramadan and emphasized the company’s ongoing efforts to collaborate with stakeholders to enhance power allocation to KEDCO’s franchise areas. This affirmation was made during a press conference held in Kano by Yusuf to provide clarity on the matter.
