Exclusive: Video Captures Man Trapped Underground For Four Days Rescued In Dramatic Police Operation

A 62-year-old man who endured four days buried alive was saved when authorities heard his muted pleas emanating from beneath the earth’s surface.

The harrowing incident unfolded as law enforcement officers were investigating the demise of a 74-year-old woman, discovered in her residence by a family member on Monday, May 13th.

Upon examination, forensic experts determined that the woman had succumbed to multiple wounds. Subsequently, an 18-year-old male, reportedly inebriated, was apprehended at his residence in the same locality of Ustia, located in northwest Moldova.

During interrogation, the young man provided conflicting and perplexing statements. Upon searching his domicile, officers detected sounds of distress emanating from the vicinity.

As authorities drew closer, they discerned the sounds emanating from beneath the ground. Prompt excavation led them to unveil the entrance to an improvised subterranean chamber.

Video footage captured by the police documents the dramatic rescue, wherein the man was extricated from his subterranean confinement. Despite sustaining a neck injury, he remained conscious.

In his testimony to the authorities, the rescued individual disclosed that he and the teenager had engaged in a drinking session that escalated into a dispute, culminating in the young man injuring him, confining him in the underground enclosure, and concealing the entrance with soil.

Law enforcement officials suspect that the teenager purportedly perpetrated the elderly woman’s murder on the night of Sunday, May 12th, or in the early hours of Monday.
