In an interview posted on the X (formerly Twitter) handle of Social Media Influencer Reno Omokri, Naira Marley opened up about his efforts to seek professional psychiatric assistance for Mohbad, which included covering the cost of medical scans.
During the interview, Naira Marley also discussed his relationship with Lagos socialite Sam Larry and addressed allegations surrounding Mohbad’s untimely passing.
Additionally, Naira Marley shared a poignant video of his last conversation with Mohbad, during which the late singer revealed his struggles with suicidal thoughts.
Naira Marley recounted the distressing moments, saying, “There was another time when I was in America, and his girlfriend called me to inform me that he (Mohbad) had locked himself in the bathroom and expressed suicidal intentions.
I immediately called him and recorded our conversation, asking why he wanted to end his life. I told him he was a king and encouraged him to address family issues that were causing stress. I advised him not to burden himself and reminded him of the impact his actions would have on others.”
