Former House of Representatives member, Tajudeen Yusuf, has claimed that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is no longer aligned with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Yusuf said that Atiku, who was the PDP’s presidential flagbearer in 2023, is now actively involved in coalition discussions with other political players.

“Atiku is out of the PDP; he’s part of a broader coalition with many stakeholders,” Yusuf declared.

A close associate of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Yusuf emphasized that the PDP needs to stop depending on singular personalities if it hopes to regain its footing in future elections.

He criticized the PDP’s decision to zone its 2023 presidential ticket to the North and squarely blamed Atiku for the party’s electoral defeat, stating:

“Atiku mishandled the alliance with Peter Obi. If Obi had stayed in the PDP and was picked as Atiku’s running mate, they would’ve won. Obi symbolized the southern agitation and the nation’s hunger for change.”

Yusuf also reacted to former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s defection to the APC, saying it was a reflection of the internal discontent that the PDP’s 2023 campaign strategy had worsened.
